Duet has been a go-to for high-end women’s fashion in the Greater New York area for nearly 30 years, and an ever-evolving boutique that keeps up with current fashion trends and standards. People visit this luxury consignment shop to buy and sell, so the website has to appeal and be functional to both sides of their business.
For this project, I was approached to provide art direction, copy writing, graphics and photo selections to take this website re-launch to the next level. I worked with the developer to expand Duet's color palette, introducing a wash of peachy beige tones to complement the brand's core colors of orange, white and black. Photographic elements and fresh banners for the pages helped to anchor the information throughout the site, as well as improve overall UX. New copy serves to reposition the brand within the current consignment landscape, attracting a wider range of customers and consignors, while bolstering the fun and friendly environment Duet is known for.
